The Rotary Foundation Global Grants provides scholarships for Africans and other qualified nationalities who are currently working on graduate-level coursework or research in Development Studies. The Rotary Foundation offers scholarships worth more than 7.5 million USD annually to develop leaders of the next generation and assist their philanthropic objectives. In turn, global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary’s areas of focus.
The awards can fund humanitarian projects, scholarships for graduate-level academic studies, and vocational training teams.
The award covers any of Rotary’s six areas of focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.
Through this amount, the following needs and expenses can be covered:
Passport / VISA
Travel expenses (as specified in the grant terms and conditions)
Room and board
Language training courses (but not if university admission is contingent on improvement of language skills)
